Online Ceramics Is Now Making Its Trippy Tees for Your Kid

But the fact that the OC kids stuff doesn’t look like your typical children’s clothing is a great thing. Most kids’ clothing is really awful, catering to their interests with big graphics of trucks or Bluey, an animated dog. Since we had our son last December, my partner and I have dedicated ourselves to avoiding this type of clothing by searching out brands that thread the delicate needle of making kids clothes that adults would be pretty excited to wear, too (I’m sorry, I can’t share all those recipes with you today). The new OC Kids clothes fits that bill exactly. If the other parents at the playground are mildly weirded out by my son’s clothes? Mission accomplished.

I’m complaining about kid/baby clothes but admittedly they are getting better. In addition to Online Ceramics, cool-guy brands like Bode have started making clothing for the kids who really want to flex their love of all things artisanal. Stella McCartney, Gucci, and even Balenciaga are in the game if you’re raising a child with a love for luxury labels. If you have a streetwear child, Stray Rats will work. Of course, the dream for every fashion father is to drape your little one in The Row’s cashmere cardigans and lush lounge pants made for kids.

But before today there was nothing for tots that looked like what Online Ceramics is now making. So as soon as I got the email my partner and I rushed to buy something. So: If you see a dad who seems to have given up on dressing well himself with a (beautiful) (stylish) son in a T-shirt with a teddy bear on it that reads “If You Are Still Searching For That One Person Who Will Change Your Life Look In The Mirror,” say what’s up.
